Synopsis The Way of the World" is a comedy of elegance, class, manners and deception, set in a fashionable London society that really has money and sex at the heart of its concerns. Mirabell and Millamant love each other, but they endlessly deceive other people, and each other, in order to achieve that love.

I left at the interval, and so did several others. It was confusing, difficult to follow, and a disappointing Penelope Keith. Audrey Fforbes-Hamilton in drag. Not my thing at all. Only the second time I have left a performance half way thru and I go to almost everything at Chichester. - M Milton
