Synopsis Three works with a particularly strong place in The Royal Ballet’s unique, world-class identity. Frederick Ashton’s Birthday Offering was created to put the spotlight on the extraordinary talents of the Company’s ballerinas; his character study of domestic drama, A Month in the Country, brings out the story-telling and characterizations that are also part of great ballet. The final work, Les Noces, is a must-see classic of both 20th-century ballet and the Royal Ballet repertory.
