Synopsis 16 plays in 4 nights! One flat inhabited by up to three characters. Do they live there or are they just visiting? Is the accommodation ‘des res’ or urban squalor? Each night will provide different answers! Following on from last year’s successful 10:18 from Hull project, Hull Truck Youth Theatre again present a selection of new plays written by young people aged 10 – 18 from across the city. After attending writing workshops, scripts were submitted and plays were chosen. Different plays will be presented each night and the cast will change for each short play, giving lots of our Youth Theatre members a chance to perform! Each playwright was given the same format: up to three characters, a flat or apartment and half an hour running time. The rest was up to their imaginations! Studio
Hull Truck will close the Spring Street building in February 2009 and open its new state-of-the-art, £14.5m theatre April 25 2009. The new theatre will offer two performance spaces and improved facilities for education and community work, and corporate hospitality. The Main auditorium seats 440 and the studio 134.
