Synopsis

Set in the First World War, Journey's End concerns the lives of a group of British officers on the front line and opens in a dugout in the trenches of France. Raleigh, a new eighteen-year-old officer fresh out of English public school, joins the besieged company of his friend and cricketing hero Stanhope, and finds him dramatically changed...

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY - A GREAT TRIBUTE TO THE MEN OF WW1. HEARTRENDING, IT IS AN EMOTIONAL JOURNEY THAT LEAVES YOUR DRAINED AND GRATEFUL THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO SUFFER AS TOSE MEN DID. THE DIALOGUE - WHICH COULD BE CLUNKY AND DATED IN LESS EXPECT HANDS - IS ALWAYS CONVINCING. EVERY EMOTION IS PLAYED WITH A GENUINE FEEL AND NOT SINGLE MOMENT IS OVER PLAYED. IN A SUPERB CAST MALCOLM SINCLAIR AND PETER SANDYS-CLARK STAND OUT. THIS IS WHAT GREAT THEATRE IS ALL ABOUT - AND THE CURTAIN CALL WILL BREAK YOUR HEART. GO TONIGHT. ...
