Synopsis
The Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra currently ranks among the finest symphonic ensembles in Russia. In addition to enjoying great success in its home country, it has a busy international existence, touring throughout Europe and North America. The orchestra's chief conductor Valery Polyansky has worked closely with the Orchestra since its creation in 1991, and has received especial praise for his authoritative interpretations with the Orchestra of the great Russian masterpieces of symphonic literature. The Russian State Philharmonic Orchestra currently ranks amongst the finest symphonic ensembles in Russia, but its creative activities are not limited to its home territory. The orchestra receives frequent invitations to perform all over the world and has enjoyed very successful tours in the USA, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Croatia.
