Synopsis
Tom is overwhelmed by grief. His wife has died and despair is smothering his characteristic optimism and good humour. At 3am, on his last night as house-master at a boarding school, there is a knock at the door and schoolgirl Merry walks into his living room. First Light is a timely dissection of trust where innocence and scandal collide.
