Synopsis
Comedy icon, actor, performer and national treasure, June Whitfield (above), will be in conversation with Matthew Sweet (Night Waves, The Culture Show), choosing extracts from her extensive career in television, radio and film which spans over six decades and includes associations with British comedy legends including Frankie Howerd, Peter Sellers and Tony Hancock. From a role in arguably the most famous sitcom episode ever (The Blood Donor), to perennial television classic Terry & June, and the much-loved role of Mother in Absolutely Fabulous, June has an astonishing comedic history.
