Synopsis The Butterfly Lion combines African and European storytelling traditions and is a moving tale of enduring friendship. Bertie rescues an orphaned white lion cub from the African veld and the pair are inseparable until Bertie is sent to boarding school far away in England and the lion is sent to the circus. Bertie swears that one day they will see each other again, but it is the butterfly lion who ensures that their friendship will never be forgotten. Age 8-14
