Synopsis The Ludwig String Trio, three of today's finest chamber musicians indulge in their greatest shared passion; getting right to the heart of wonderfully profound music. Featuring three composers at their most creative: Beethoven in his Serenade includes a Marcia, a Polacca and one of the first instrumental dumka (lament); this exciting Trio shows how Hindemith was the greatest German performer-composer in the 20th century; the Divertimento is Mozart at his zenith - as good as any of his quartets, but achieved with only three players. Running time: 2hrs 20mins
