Synopsis
Can a puppet ever grow up to be a real boy? From Venice to the belly of the whale, by way of the Field of Wonders and the Land of Toys, Pinocchio's mischief constantly propels him into evermore treacherous adventures.

It is very unusual to find a children’s show that could be referred to as unique, but Pinocchio certainly qualifies. The production is a participation musical written and created specifically for families with primary school aged children. It stars four professional actors together with about ten children picked randomly from volunteers in the audience.
The actors start by introducing themselves and then lead a short “warm-up” for the whole audience. Then, after the children have been chosen, the remainder of the first half is an open rehearsal for the rest of the audience. Four songs, that will provide the backbone of the show, are rehearsed, together with the associated actions. Meanwhile the children backstage are practicing lines for their part in the main event.
