CatsSynopsis:Song and dance based loosely on the T.S.Elliot poems Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. The plot is that all the cats are gathering for the Jellicle Ball at which one will be bestowed with an extra life. All the performers are cats in a outsize alley which takes over the whole auditorium. The show has a loose story but is essentially a series of pieces about the individual cats, their personalities and their lives. During the interval there is a chance for younger members of the audience to meet a cat and get an autograph. Time Out calls it the dancing moggie show.Who's WhoAuthor: Andrew Lloyd WebberAuthor: Trevor Nunn Author: Richard Stilgoe Producer: Cameron Mackintosh Producer: The Really Useful Theatre Company : David Ian Productions Director: Trevor Nunn Choreographer: Gillian Lynne Design: John Napier Costume: John Napier Lighting: David Hersey Musical Director: Julian Bigg Musical Director: David Firman Performer: James Darch (Alonzo) Performer: Bill Bailey (Will Lucas) Performer: Melissa James (Bombalurina) Performer: Paul F Monaghan (Bustopher Jones/Asparagus/Growl Tiger) Performer: Joel Morris (Carbucketty) P:Jessica Buckby (Cassandra) Performer: Richard Astbury (Coricopat) Performer: Lily Frazer (Demeter) Performer: Joana Ampil (Grizabella) Performer: Clare Rickard (Jollylorum/Griddlebone) Performer: Dawn Williams (Jemima) Performer: Alice Redmond (Jannyanydots) Performer: Cameron Ball (Macavity/Admetus) Performer: Barnaby Thompson (MungoJerrie) Performer: Ben Palmer (Munkustrap) Performer: Nicholas Pound (Old Deuteronomy) Performer: Joseph Poulton (Quaxo/Mistoffelees) Performer: Katie Warsop (Rumpleteazer) Performer: Oliver Savile (Rum Tum Tugger) Performer: Ross Finnie (Skimbleshanks) Performer: Lizzi Franklin (Tantomile) Performer: Alicia Beck (Victoria/White Cat) Performer: Matthew Caputo (Swings) Performer: Collette Coleman Performer: Barry Haywood Performer: Ian Parsons Performer: Freya Rowley Performer: Francesca Whiffin Dates & Times:Empire Theatre - Sunderland28 May 2013 to 08 June 2013 Times vary £10.00 to £37.50 Mayflower Theatre - Southampton 11 June 2013 to 22 June 2013 Mon-Sat 19:30.
