DescriptionStarted in 1967 this venue combines a producing theatre situated in an old Victorian paper mill, and excellent restaurant in a tithe barn and fabulous grounds. The 200 seater theatre, described as the most idyllic theatre in the country, is one of the most successful producing venues in England, regularly transferring shows into London's West End and New York.

Synopsis

An experiment to separate virtue from wickedness in his own nature results in the respectable Doctor Jekyll releasing the demon within; a malevolent force which will eventually possess him body and soul... Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story has enthralled and fascinated the world for more than a hundred years - perhaps because a Mr. Hyde lurks deep within us all, watching and waiting. Created by Rhum and Clay Theatre Company and Beth Flintoff. The acclaimed up-and-coming all-male company Rhum and Clay bring their comic sense of the absurd to this classic story, and together with The Watermill, lures you down a dark Victorian alley to delve into the underbelly of London and see what on earth you might discover.
