Synopsis

Deep in the Berkshire countryside sits Canterville Chase, a rambling manor house with a fearful history. Centuries ago, in front of the library fire, Sir Simon de Canterville murdered his wife. Ever since, his guilty spirit has roamed the house, haunting generations of residents. All that is set to change, however, with the arrival of the Otis family from New York...

This hits just the right Christmas note. The children were entranced by it and it held the adults' attention too. A clever adaptation, staging and lyrics bought the tale to life. It left me with a special Christmas feeling about forgiving and sharing....
