Synopsis
A notorious womaniser spreads the false rumour that a cure for VD has left him impotent but Jack Pinchwife is suspicious and is determined that his wife won't be seduced - an arrogance that proves his undoing!

A most disapointing evening and I found very difficult to follow. Was it a comedy, a drama or a musical? Why did the performers do a Grease song in the second act? I loved Hobsons Choice at the New Vic by the same writer but find it difficult to believe that she wrote this. I beseeched my friend to leave with me after the first act, but she thought that it could only get better. In fact it just staayed at the same boring level. Was it not possible to find a better production for the re-opening of this well loved local theatre? I dare say that the orginal A Country Wife would have been much more suitable!...
