Synopsis
Jimmy explores the secret life of dreams and cleverly shifts between fantasy and reality to present a dream world with a life of its own. When creating the piece, Brassard recorded her own dreams for two years. 'Your body is resting but your brain never rests' Brassard says. 'When it doesn't have any visual images to analyse, it just goes berserk.' Jimmy is a hairdresser born at the age of 33 in the dreams of an American General. When the General dies, Jimmy's very existence is threatened. After spending 50 years in existential limbo Jimmy is reborn, this time in the dreams of an actress...
