Synopsis
A musical spectacular inspired by the text of Gertrude Stein s The Making of Americans. Unconstrained by narrative or theatrical conventions, Hashirigaki is an elegiac and beautiful enigma which borrows freely from different cultures. Traditional Japanese music is interwoven with the music of Beach Boy Brian Wilson and of Heiner Goebbels himself.
