Synopsis

Vivien Leigh's life was defined by three starring roles - Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire and in real life, as Lady Olivier, the wife of Lord Olivier. Her Last Press Conference chronicles the triumphs and tragedies of the convent born British starlet who rose to dizzying heights before suffering a tragic descent into manic depression and madness. Using Vivien Leigh's own words, the play offers anecdotes of legendary show business icons, stories of her epic saga in landing the role of Scarlett O'Hara and tells of the campaign she forged to win the heart of Olivier.
