Synopsis
A musical that traces the lives of five people - all linked by the name Liza. Through 22 songs - including the Pet Shop Boys 'Losing My Mind', 'Don't Drop Bombs', 'Don't Rain On My Planet', 'Try to Remember' and 'Over the Rainbow' - we live the traumas and dreams of each Liza. Liza 1 is an Essex girl, winner of a 'Pop Idol' style talent contest. Liza 2 is a Liza Minnelli tribute act. Liza 3 is a cross-dressing 40-year-old male Jewish accountant. Liza 4 is dogged by a life drowning in drugs and alcohol. Liza 5 is a 60-year-old East German with a secret. Five very different lives....five hopes for the future...five dreams so far unfulfilled. As their paths cross, their lives will never be the same.
