Synopsis

Adapted from David Lynch's 1997 cult film. Lost Highway is a psychological thriller that explores identity, dislocation and desire through the eyes of a troubled jazz musician. Neuwirth’s score is an interplay of live and pre-recorded sound and electronics with echoes of Monteverdi, Weill, Porter and jazz.

Well it isn't opera. I admired the staging, but the music is incidental. The biggest issue with this show is that the vast majority of the audience have to crane their necks for much of its 90 minutes running time as a lot of the action takes place in an elevated box; I left in agony....
