Synopsis
Adapted from the book by French aerialist and anarchist, Philippe Petit, who tightrope-walked between the Twin Towers. The World Trade Centre is under construction: twin towers stretching 1,350 feet into the sky. An ocean away, high wire walker Phillippe Petit conceives a plan that's just as daring. If he can rig a wire between those towers, then - unbelievably; illegally; gloriously - he will have a whole city at his feet. It will take all the meticulous planning - and the breathless excitement - of a bank heist. Except that nothing will be stolen: nothing but a moment of impossible beauty.
