Synopsis
Deep in the heart of Texas, the tiny Baptist church in Bubbling Springs is searching desperately for a new preacher, when a stranger appears out of the blue. He's intense, mysterious, and dangerously seductive. Is he the answer to their prayers? Or the destruction of all their illusions? The message he brings is more than they bargained for and it will change their lives forever... Or at least a couple of weeks.

Really strong piece of theatre, great ensemble cast, Julie Rogers as Angela shines brightly (she's going to be a star), snappy direction from Omar Okai and superb lighting and set. Herold's script is engaging, moving effectively from comedy to drama, but it's the great casting that really brings this one to life. Shame it's only at Jermyn Street for 4 weeks (nice to see something a bit more meaty there.) A must see....
