Synopsis
In 1960’s Liverpool two lovers hide in the closet, then go their separate ways. While pits close and dole queues grow, a couple of runaways find Heaven in 1980’s London. And today the paparazzi chase a love story that could tear a family apart. Then a grieving mother gets lost up a mountain, with a vicar... A deeply moving, funny, unflinching, and often magical story about love, honesty and being brave enough to sing out at the top of your voice. With style.. Age 16+

The other reviews here, as of 11-6-2010, appear to be for a different play? If so WOS need to get some maintenance done on this site, but anyhow I'll give my 2 penneth for Canary by Jonathan Harvey. Confused, trite and worst of all rather boring. The very talented actors, however, battled on valiantly even when suspended on what seemed to be a giant curtain track, and from the noise not a Swish either, dangling from side to side across the stage. My litmus test is would a show like this put someone, apart form the feeble of mind or raving lunatic, off wanting to come back to the theatre - the answer in this case is yes. 2/10 see me....
