Synopsis
Soho 1977, The Silver Jubilee. 'Oh! Calcutta!' is on at the Duchess Theatre. Up in the wardrobe, things are running seamlessly thanks to the steely wardrobe mistress, her assistant and the new dresser. Eyebrows are raised by the arrival of a show-stopping dancer.The dresser meets her match in this observation of the theatrics of life. Up in the Wardrobe, a new play by Roberta Michell, is as comical as it is political, reflecting the social mores of the late '70s while being very relevant to today. After all, how much has really changed?!
