Synopsis
It's Midsummer's weekend in Edinburgh. It's raining. Two thirtysome-things are sitting in a New Town bar waiting for something to turn up. He's a failing car salesman on the fringes of the city's underworld and she's a high-powered divorce lawyer with a taste for other people's husbands. She's out of his league and he's not her type at all. They absolutely should not sleep together. Ever. Ever... Which is why they do.

The witty and acerbic writing of David Greig and Gordon McIntyre gives this two hander the added edge one would only expect from a performance originating in Edinburgh. The packed house tonight certainly agreed with that. I would hope this success could translate into an NYC transfer as I think it would sit comfortably with other original works given an opening at The World Stages venue. It has terrifically energetic performances from Matthew Pidgeon, Bob, and Cora Bissett, Helana, helped all the way by David Greig and Gordon McIntyre's crackling script this is one show in town not to be missed. ...
