Synopsis
My Matisse explores the private world of the brilliant post - Impressionist artist Henri Matisse. This influential and much admired man, hid himself away in the South of France, painting bright, colourful and happy pictures, while his country was going up in flames and his wife and daughter were being tortured by the Nazis. What kind of man was this? What kind of artist? Seven of the women closest to him give us the answer.
