The defining factor that separates good pantomimes from great pantomimes is not just the connexion with the audience; it is also the connexions within the cast. A perfect example of this can be found in Eastbourne’s brilliant festive treat. This is not just a pantomime cast – this is more like a family of performers.

I feel a bit bad giving this a 2 because I felt the cast did what they could with the script they were given but for me its wasn't a good panto ! the two children we took age 4 and 7 were bored by the interval and wanted to go home !!! never happened before. The first halfs bright spots were Will Scarlet and the singing which was good but far too many songs of too long a duration for children. The second half was better with more interaction but we now have two children who do not want to go to panto ever again !!...
