“Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On …”
The 1950s - the decade in which Uruguay won the World Cup and Shirley Temple retired from showbiz (thanks Wikipedia). The decade that saw the poodle skirt and winklepickers, while musically rock ‘n’ roll came to the fore, spawned (so the programme notes helpfully inform me) from jazz, rhythm and blues, boogie woogie, folk and gospel.

Saw this show in Birmingham Wed 11 August 2010 - absolutely brilliant. Michael Quinn (hot hot hot! great voice), Simon Schofield brilliantly and energetic performances - Roxanne has beautiful voice. Top quality talented show to say the least. I would have loved to have been able to see it again. Not widely advertised which is a shame for the performers. Strongly recommended. Congratulations to all the cast and great band!...
