 | One to be generous! Don't Look Now - Don't Go Now! Well, it started quite well - the staging looked suitably dramatic and atmospheric - lots of smokey stuff swirlling around which unfortunately set off a few too many coughers in the audience. Then the first scene, just maybe it's working, I thought until the tables started gliding towards each other - NO! it's not I realised and it just went downhill from then on with more gliding on and off. Poor Susan Wooldridge, the blind sister, looked more confused than menacingly enigmatic, when she wasn't looking utterly bizarre. That sent ripples of laughter from those around me who were also clearly not getting it. It's utter nonsence and should never have been let out of the box. - rds | 23 Mar 07 |
