Synopsis A live sitcom presented monthly, each episode to run for two nights. Lydia Parker and Maureen Oakeley have tapped into the zeitgeist for the theme of their witty, raunchy sitcom All I Need is a F*ck Buddy. More and more women, too busy for relationships, too sensual for celibacy are turning to their male friends for great, no strings, sex. This 'noughties' phenomenon s known as the F*ck Buddy. In All I Need is a F*ck Buddy, Sadie, a newly single thirty something, shares a flat with Peter. He could be the perfect F*ck Buddy if he weren't the faithful type and head over heals in love with someone else. Sadie's best friend Monika, a therapist, is full of good advice as are the meddlesome manifestations of Sadie's subconscious Bad and Good. Each episode involves the increasingly desperate Sadie enduring another dating disaster in her search for a potential buddy.
This play grabs you by the swingers and doesn't let up until the curtain falls. The writing is tight, the acting is sharp and full of energy, and the story conveys the angst of the break-up and start-up of relationships in a thoughtful yet, by turns, witty, hilarious and rather naughty fashion. Great intimate venue, too. - Simon Turner
