     | The actors were superb - brillaint casting, brilliant set, brilliant show! Was a laugh a minute show! Must see show! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (213.48.9.96) | 08 Jul 03 |
    | Saw Stones two years ago and was mightily impressed. It's quite reassuring to know that two of the longest-running shows in London at the moment are character-based two handers.

 | I'm giving it one star only because I can't give it nil. The only time that I have ever left a theatre before the end. I'd had enough before the interval, once that came I wasn't going back for more! - USER: Whatsonstage.com (195.92.168.177) | 11 May 03 |
 | What's all the hype about? One of the dullest evenings I've spent at the theatre - very thin on laughs and plot. - USER: Whatsonstage.com (62.254.64.5) | 01 Dec 02 |
   | Very enjoyable. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 22 Aug 02 |
    | Thoroughly enjoyed this production. Would have given it 5 stars except that I felt some of the smaller characters had not been developed sufficiently e.g.we had learned very little about the lad who committed suicide until after he died. Minor quibble though. On the whole an excellent production - although a little more practice with the Scottish accent would not go ammiss!!!! - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 13 Aug 02 |
     | The actors are superb (seen two different sets) and play 15 parts in total. The simplicity of the story is perfect, but it's the acting and characters that make it. Wonderful escapism, even though there is sadness involved in the story. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 16 Jul 02 |
     | This is a very good play if you are a reader of novels. There are almost no props and the only two actors play about 5 parts each and switch instantly into another character. You must use your imagination a lot to "see" the other character and follow the story - as you do when reading novels. If you can do this you'll love it, if you can't you'll probably hate it. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 04 Jun 02 |
     | This play is more than worth the hype. If you like to see Fringe theatre taken to the West End- then you will love this. With two talented actors in the cast playing numerous roles- the laughs are unstoppable. Ignore the negative stuff on this thread and decide for yourself. I loved it! - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 07 Apr 02 |
 | My wife and I flew to London from Detroit Michigan for the 3rd year ina a row.
We usually see 4 good shows. This year we saw Cats, Mamma Mia, Royal
Family and "Stones in his Pockets". We walked out of stones at intermission
because we could not hear the dialogue sitting in stalls row L. This is the first
time we have ever walked out of a play. I am 75 , my wife is 70 . We have
been going to shows together for 45 years.
