Synopsis
17th Century Spain. A peasant and his daughter provide shelter for a bawdy troop of soldiers and unleash a passionate drama. Love is spurned; revenge sworn; honour ravaged; swords unsheathed; songs sung. Adrian Mitchell, once a mainstay of the Everyman programme, has revisited and refreshed his acclaimed adaption, adding a sprinkling of Liverpool idiom to this great Spanish classic.
