 | Bland, disappointing and unengaging. The Powerbook comes from a time when the internet seemed sexy and forbidden - if that time ever existed. Enter as one person, leave as another? We've all moved on. There was no transformation on-stage, or off it - even a couple of beautiful projections/films couldn't save the lack of empathy that you feel for any of Winterson's characters. A cyberspace for the bored middle-classes - definitely not worth logging on. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 30 May 02 |
    | Another fascinating production from NT! Great acting (especially the gifted Ms. Fiona Shaw), and staging. The entire play is presented like a poetry reading--very unique and avant-garde. - USER: Whatsonstage.com | 21 May 02 |
