Dissapointing drivel! What has happened to creative writing in this country? Lost, I'm afraid,in mediocrity that's what. - Christopher

Could not disagree more with "rds". This is a finely acted, well-written and well directed play which explores with a light touch the explosive subject of race hatred. Very impressive indeed. - fred

What a mish mash. Poorly crafted, by the author, DC Moore, and randomly directed by Maria Aberg, it is one of those occaisions in the theatre when one wants to stand up and shout out, ENOUGH! It really beggars belief how this got beyond the workshop stage. It is, to paraphrase a far greater writer than DC Moore, or even little 'ol me, will ever be: It is..."Deform'd unfinishe'd, sent before its time Into this breathing world, scarce half made up." The Royal Court should have strangle it at birth? Rafe Spall tried hard hard, but why the Cathrine Tate impersonation? the addition of "Am I bovered, am I bovered" would have completed it. The play is populated by tedious, two dimensionsal characters spewing up banal dialogue that I defy anyone to care more about?. It is, in effect, a masterclass in tediousness. Only when one experiences bad theatre does one really appreciate the good. And so, in that respect, the writer has some success. - rds
