Synopsis
This brand new show from emerging circus theatre company Osborne & What is a moving, thought-provoking and sometimes bleak story of friendship. Inspired by the William Wharton novel and multi award-winning film with Nicholas Cage and Matthew Modine, Birdy tells the story of a young man and his obsession with birds through the eyes of his best friend Al. When traumatised by the experiences of war, Birdy falls deeper into a madness which threatens to consume him. Told through physical performance and breathtaking aerial skills, Birdy is a collaboration between directors Catrin Osborne and Mitch Mitchelson, associate artist Joe Garcia and Circus Space graduates.
