Synopsis
Lv Wei is one of the most recognised young opera singers in China today. Her distinct style has made her one of the country's most successful exports performing all over the globe, most recently at the Acrimboldi Theatre in Milan ? where her concert was broadcast live in China and 100 countries all over the world. She will be joined on the Empire stage by The London Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Lu Jia. Lv Wei was China's Cultural Ambassador of the Year in 2011. In 2005, Ms. Lv Wei won the best folk singer award on CCTV-MTV Award. In 2008 Stories of the South Yangtze River in her personal CD Album won the Sixth Chinese 'Gold Record' award and won 'Top China Award' in 2009.
