Synopsis

Una Marson. Born, Jamaica 1905. First black female programme- maker and broadcaster at the BBC. Poet, publisher and activist for racial and sexual equality. Lived in Peckham. Una Marson explores this inspirational woman's work and life. Created by The International Rainbows, under the direction of Danielle Baker, the company draw on their own experiences to take the audience on a 1940's war time jaunt through the life and times of Una. Attendee's of this theatrical excursion are encouraged to arrive suitably dressed ready for a festive soiree. The International Rainbows are made up of people from all around the world who are still fighting for the equality and justice that Una was striving for in her own life.
