Synopsis
Newton Basset. A traditional seaside resort forgotten by the British public, until three businessmen arrive with a question: how much of your town's soul are you willing to sell to make it fit into the modern world? Influenced by the New Labour boom years, the expansion of supermarkets and the loss of English traditions; A Modern Town is an epic, stirring tragi/comedy about power, ambition and the need to adapt to the modern world.
