Synopsis
Frank and Jenny Gilman think they have found their dream home, a converted chapel in a quiet country village. The dream soon turns into a nightmare, however, as they are attacked by intruders who seem, for some reason, to be only interested in the contents of the deep freezer. Why is the spade covered in blood? To whom to do the blood stained clothes in the chimney belong? And why are the locals lying to the Gilmans? Frank and Jenny investigate and the true horror of their situation soon emerges in this taut and exciting, yet often blackly hilarious, horror thriller.

Horror is typically a hard to do genre, especially on the stage, but with this production Peter Snee has combined a cinema style sound track with a dramatic, thrilling story in order to create a gripping contemporary horror piece. I was initially unsure what to expect, but from the moment Frank (Brian Paul Markey) and Jenny (Jennifer Quinn) the young couple at the forefront of this tale burst onto the stage we are immediately captivated. Markey and Quinn are a dynamic duo and establish a strong, believable relationship from the off. As the story unfolds we are willing them to run away but in traditional thriller style they never seem to make the right decision, until inevitably the worst happens! There are plenty of ‘jump’ moments that keep you on the edge of your seat and I found myself hiding behind my scarf on more than one occasion. This show will not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you are looking for a good old fashioned thrill this Halloween you should definitely check it out!...
