Synopsis
Kansaze Dance (Rachael Nanyonjo) Looking Back - Inspired by presenting the past in the present this multimedia choreography reflects on memories of protests particularly The Civil Rights Movement, Dresden (2009) and the London student protests of 2010. Porkpie Dance Theatre (Anaish Parmar) Mum...what's my gam? - How did 9 brothers, 1 sister, 1 wife, 2 parents, from India, via Africa, end up in a 4 bed terrace in the British town famous for pork based snacks? Hack Ballet (Briar Adams) Zone - Hit the wall. Marathon mile 22. Days of writer's block. An ensemble cast of athletic dancers strive for flow amidst distraction, interruption, competing interests, attention seekers... Enter the zone.
