Synopsis

"You think I deserve to be behind bars Coz I'm from a country that to you is as far away as the stars? It's your past narrow minded mentality That doesn't allow me to express my sexuality." "I bet these young kids think they've got it really hard; Do their struggles amount to visible scars?" "Peeps hated my dad then while Brixton was burning and they hate us now. They think we're all consumer driven, Facebook-using, drug-money making cash cows." Have things really progressed for young people, or are we just replaying the same record to a new beat? In collaboration with Award-Winning Playwright Rachel De-lahay, and supported by The Co-operative Foundation, Ovalhouse's young drama group will be presenting performances devised, written and created from discussions and conversations about growing up through different generations.
