ABOUT THE SHOW: Roald Dahl's deliciously dark tale of young Charlie Bucket and the mysterious confectioner Mr Willy Wonka comes to life in a brand new West End musical CHARLIE & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes. Dahl's popular story centres on the mysterious Willy Wonka, who is opening his Chocolate Factory for just one day for a lucky few, and the humble boy Charlie Bucket for whom it promises to be a mouth-watering chance to feast his eyes on sweets beyond his wildest imagination. A chocolate garden, an army of squirrels and the curiously peculiar Oompa-Loompas must be believed to be seen in this spectacular new musical that is choc-full of fantastical treats to dazzle your senses. Starring Douglas Hodge as Willy Wonka and Nigel Planer as Grandpa Joe, the world premiere stage production of the Roald Dahl classic will be performed at West End's Theatre Royal Drury Lane.
