CHRONICLES OF LONG KESH - the smash hit of the 2009 Edinburgh Fringe, where it was hailed as "this year's Black Watch" by Whatsonstage.com’s Michael Coveney – receives its much-anticipated London premiere at the Tricycle Theatre in Kilburn this spring. Come on our hosted Whatsonstage.com Outing on 30 March 2010 and get your ticket and access to our EXCLUSIVE post-show Q&A - plus, FREE programmes for first 20 bookers!all for the INCREDIBLE price of just £13.50!!! (usually up to £20 for ticket alone).

The Show:

“Simple staging & superb performances work an unshowy magic” - Guardian

“Fierce & gripping, direct from Belfast & dripping with the sound, fury & black humour of that city… played out at breakneck speed on tremendous energy … snatches of the music of the day all sung a cappella… light relief & a period touch
in one winning, theatrical flourish” - The Times

“Physical, loud, sweary, funny, perfectly choreographed, terrifying
& still, again, funny” - Observer

Written by Northern Ireland’s celebrated playwright Martin Lynch, the painful, shocking and hilarious story of Northern Ireland’s infamous prison - Long Kesh – is told through the eyes of prison officers, Republicans and Loyalists, a rich assortment of patriots, chancers, leaders, wives, escapers and hypochondriacs!

A massive sell-out hit at the 2009 Edinburgh Festival, where it won a coveted Fringe First award amongst other accolades, CHRONICLES OF LONG KESH is a huge crowd-pleaser, full of 1960s Motown songs and wild, irreverent humour.

The hard-working – and highly tuneful – Irish ensemble cast are: Billy Clarke, Chris Corrigan, Jo Donnelly, Marty Maguire, Andy Moore and Marc O’Shea. This premiere production is directed by Lisa May and Martin Lynch.
