We dropped in on rehearsals for Dan Gillespie Sells and Tom MacRae's new musical, Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

Directed by Jonathan Butterell, John McCrea plays Jamie, a 16 year-old from Sheffield, who wants to become a drag queen.

Written by MacRae and Gillespie Sells – who is the lead singer and songwriter of the band The Feeling – the new musical opens at the Crucible in Sheffield on 13 February.

Everybody's Talking About Jamie runs at Sheffield Crucible from 13 to 25 February with previews from 8 February.
