Debbie Kurup and Matt Rawle cast in Anything Goes at Sheffield Crucible

”The Bodyguard” star is set to join the cast of the Cole Porter musical which opens in Sheffield next month

Debbie Kurup, recently seen as Nicki Marron in The Bodyguard, has been cast in a revival of classic Cole Porter musical Anything Goes.

The show, directed by Daniel Evans, will play at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from 28 November until 17 January.

This will be followed by a UK tour that begins at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 29 January and calling at venues including the Churchill Theatre in Bromley, the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford and the New Theatre in Hull, concluding its tour at the Hippodrome, Bristol on 10 October 2015.

Kurup is joined in the cast by Matt Rawle (Billy Crocker), with Stephen Matthews (Lord Evelyn Oakley), Zoë Rainey (Hope Harcourt), Simon Rouse (Elisha Whitney), Hugh Sachs (Moonface Martin), Jane Wymark (Evangeline Harcourt), and Michelle Andrews (Ensemble), Adam Dutton (Purser / Ensemble), Anouska Eaton (Angel), Jack Evans (Ensemble), Bob Harms (Ship's Captain), Victoria Hinde (Ensemble Angel / Purity), Lauren Jade (Ensemble / Angel Charity), Rebecca Jayne-Davies (Female Ensemble Passenger), Michael Lin (Ensemble), Nick Len (Luke), Dylan Mason (Ensemble), Joanna Lee Martin (Ensemble), Ryan Pidgen (Ensemble), Adam Rhys-Charles (Ensemble), Rohan Richards (Ensemble), Andy Yau (John) and Alex Young (Erma).

Joining Evans on the creative team will be choreographer Alistair David, designer Richard Kent and music supervisor Nigel Lilley.

Anything Goes takes place aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London and follows Billy Crocker, a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Featuring songs such as "Anything Goes", "You're the Top", and "I Get a Kick Out of You."
