Carolyn Maitland joins Ghost the Musical cast

Carolyn Maitland is to join the cast of the touring production of Ghost the Musical.

She replaces Sarah Harding, who played Molly in the production in Wimbledon last year. Maitland's credits include Miss Saigon, Groundhog Day, From Here to Eternity and Kiss Me Kate. She stars alongside Andy Moss as Sam from January.

The rest of the cast include Sam Feriday as Carl, Leo Sene as Willie, James Earl Adair as the Hospital Ghost, Gary Lee Netley as the Subway Ghost, Tarisha Rommick as Louise and Simbi Akande as Clara.

Girls Aloud star Harding hit headlines last year after taking on the role.

The musical is based on the Oscar-winning movie which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg.

The tour of the musical continues Orchard Theatre in Dartford on 17 January and tours to Cornwall, Torquar, Sheffield, Swansea, Wales, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent and Liverpool. Further tour dates are to be announced.

Ghost the Musical runs at Orchard Theatre in Dartford from 17 to 21 January and then tours.
