starstarstarstarI saw the production last Thursday and thought it was a suberb. I felt the story is sufficiently familiar to allow it to be presented as a poignant experience with a universal message. The audience seemed to be enthralled and many stayed for the after show discussion where the panel were asked a wide range of relevant questions. - Isla Clough26 Mar 12
starstarstarstarThe stage set, lighting and in particular the music provided a captivating backdrop to this poignant story. I did not feel there was any need to give a strict re-telling of this story that people are already familiar with. The weaving of the story between Elizabeth and Azusa was very serene - in contrast to the attrocities alluded to thoughout. I very much enjoyed the performance and would commend it to others to see. - Allison Coleman26 Mar 12
starstarstarstarstarWe thoroughly enjoyed this production with all it's relevance both as a reminder of the past and it's poignant message for our own lives. An "ensemble" is exactly what this is ~ a story many of us are familiar with but told through different eyes, held together most tenderly by Elizabeth and Azusa. The stage design and lighting delicately supported the fine craftsmanship and the musicians were a joy to hear live and present on stage. This is a thought provoking piece and deserves to be seen. - Jane Loukes25 Mar 12
