Lorenzo zoyle if all you can do is resort to name calling I suggest you dont leave any comments. As an individual who has paid the same as you to see the show I have a right to my opinion of the show. Yes I will stick to watching the film but as it was the first time I had seen the musical I did not know what to expect until I had seen it and my original post is my feeling on it. I know exactly who the composer was and thats why I could tell the similarities with the songs he has written for Disney - you do not have to point this out for me. As you said if I had wanted it to be as good as the film watch the film - as you rightly said its not as good as the film - my opinion. All musicals now seem to be 'feel good' musicals what happened to musicals with real emotion - miss saigon, blood brothers, les mis, phantom etc - when are we going to get some more like those. - lover or original musicals

We watched the show last night in Eastbourne and had a thoroughly great experience. The singing and dancing was brilliant. The humour was first class and although the story may not have been an exact copy of the film it was a wonderful evening in which all the audience joined in and were sad to see the end when it came.Well done to everyone involved in the show and thankyou for a great experience. - Eric

So refreshing to see how successfully a film can be transferred to a theatrical masterpiece. Every song was uplifting and impactful, and nice to see that it was not wanting to precisely replicate the film, but rather have this stand on its own. The acting was top notch, not to mention the choreography and music. It is a real good-feel show and I could happily go see it again tonight! Well done to all that participated in this real muscial treat! A must see for anyone who enjoys musicals - a feast for the eyes and ears! - Bob from Eastbourne

Your a douchebag! If ur a lover of "original material" you will know that the rights could not be secured. Alan menken composed the music he didnt write them. If u want it to be as good as the film then watch the bloody film. Hmpfffff - Lorenzo zoyle

Yes it ia=s hard for a screen to stage musical to live up to the film and this one certainly does not. The story is not faithful to teh film as there are a number of differences throughout, eg the bar scene with the jukebox, the love story between delores and the police man etc, and whilst the film is funny without trying there is certainly too much trying to be funny in the musical. I also cannot understand why the songs from the film were not incorporated into the musical, yes I can see that original songs are needed but to completely leave the songs out from the film is pointless. Whilst on the subject of the songs in teh musical I could tell who had written the music without looking at the programme as there were a number of parts of songs throughout which sounded exactly like songs the composer has written for Disney films - lover of original musicals
