starstarstarstarstarChitty at the Kings Theatre Glasgow is, in the words of the song FANTABULOUS. From the opening scene you know you are about to see a quality production. It has everything, flying cars, dogs, children, the evil child catcher, the list goes on. The company were incredible, their dancing lively and energetic. The children playing Jeremy and Jemima were completely professional in the delivery of their songs and lines, charming children and very talented. Grandpa Potts, the two spies Boris & Goran and the leads Truly Scrumptious and Caractacus Potts were outstanding. The show has all the favourites from the film including Me Ole Bamboo, POSH, Truly Scrumptious, Toot Sweets and plenty more/ The Baron and Baroness played their part to perfection, funny, menacing and childlike. And lets hear it for the local children playing the sewer kids, well done them. The sets and scenery were wonderful, I really felt as though I was seeing the show in the West End (which I have done). I cannot recommend this performance enough and if you haven't already scene it do so right away. - Jane Banks26 Oct 09
