starstarstarAs it's cropped up a couple of times, can I clear up one misconception. The Restoration didn't take place until 44 years after this play was written. It's a Jacobean play not a Restoration comedy. - Simon Thomas29 Nov 10
starstarstarstarSaw this production last night (24th) and was very pleasantly surprised. Having read all of the comments about the text being very dense, and not being sure that restoration comendy would "float my boat", I was enthralled and drawn in by the cast in this superb and fast-paced show. If I had a quibble, it would be that I was not convinced that the circus skills fitted into the play - they felt like a "bolt-on" that did nothing to enhance the play - just showed off some of the wider talents of what are in any case a very talented cast. Do go and see it, you will not be disappointed! - John Michael25 Nov 10
starstarstarstarstarFringe at its Finest! Its rare you get a chance to see a Jonson play, one which is quite a challenge to the modern actor But wow, what a show! - great set, lighting, music and a wonderfully strong cast. Restoration comedy is not everyone's cup of tea, but this was simply Brilliant! Well done to such a new company for putting on such a great and enjoyable show! - Hazel Murray22 Nov 10
starstarstar"rumbustious, stylish & very entertaining" - Twitter "There’s plenty of sustained energy and colourful performances, with Davin Eadie‘s spidery Merecraft, Phil Bishop’s gawky Pug and Emily White’s sharp, enticingly-named Lady Tailbush catching the eye. One gets a sense of a teeming metropolis" - Simon Thomas, MusicOMH - Chris Bearne20 Nov 10
starstarstarstarPleasantly surprised to see a brand new company attack a difficult piece with such vigour. Fantastic production values, very strong cast and great direction to present an incredibly solid show. Thoroughly enjoyable, especially for those comfortable with Jonson's language and a feast for the eyes for those who aren't. - Derek Jackson20 Nov 10
starstarstarstarstarI saw this production last night. It was absolutely fantastic and shows fringe at its absolute finest and able to compete with the like of the West-End. It was also, one of the best all-round ensembles I've seen this year. It was thrilling to keep seeing new faces in different roles. A bold & colourful production of a difficult and rarely seen text - Catch this whilst you can. Look forward to the next production from this new company. - David Cutter20 Nov 10
