Went to see this at Cardiff WMC last night and it certainly got mixed reactions from the audience. The CS faithful seemed to know every line; indeed several of the audience continually spoilt the evening by chatting to one another, pointing out who the character was on stage and the history of their Coronation Street appearances.
Not one for younger children. Those who went got bored quickly. Only brief scenes, like the tram and barge, diverted their attention from eating anything from crisps to easter eggs.
Not one for a standing ovation, just clean entertainment for the middle aged and above. - Howard

Saw it last night at richmond and that it was supurb. Roy Barraclough was narrating and he knew the lines and interacted with the rest of the cast. - David Norris

My sister and I went to the Birmingham show. it was awful - we left at the interval - very amdram - seen better at the secondary school where I work. - Jayne Overal
